| Ted W. Hirsch, M.Ed, FACHE
Psychiatric Hospital Consultant & Administrative Expert BACKGROUND & EXPERTISE Mr. Hirsch has over 20 years administrative experience in the healthcare industry managing both acute care and psychiatric/substance abuse hospitals. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Northwest Healthcare/Kalispell Regional Medical Center (KRMC) which is a general acute care hospital and CEO of Pathways Treatment Center, a 40 bed psychiatric and substance abuse hospital. He holds a Masters degree in education and is a FELLOW in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has held a Child Care Administrators License in the State of Texas. He also serves on the American Hospital Association Governance Council for Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Services as a member, and chair-elect. Following completion of his undergraduate degree in psychology he began his career as a mental health technician in the Otis R. Bowen Community Mental Health Center in Warsaw, Indiana. He then took a position at Hialeah Hospital in South Florida in human resources and became the Director of Human Resources. Later he was appointed Vice President of Operations, psychiatric & substance abuse services, and oversaw human resources and general ancillary departments. In 1987, Mr. Hirsch accepted the position as Administrator for the Center For Psychiatry at two facilities managed by a hospital management company. The facilities were owned by the Adventist Healthcare System in Punta Gorda and Orlando, Florida. The Orlando facility was comprised of 141 inpatient beds which included eight specialty units, two free-standing hospitals, and three outpatient locations. In 1993, Mr. Hirsch became the Regional Administrator for the SSM Healthcare System, Behavioral Services Division and oversaw 220 licensed inpatient beds, multiple outpatient locations, and developed a specialty multi-state behavioral managed care and EAP company. In 1996 he took the position of Chief Executive Officer of Meadow Pines Hospital, a 94 bed private psychiatric hospital in Longview, Texas. The facility offered inpatient acute psychiatric and substance abuse services, residential treatment for youth, and a 48 bed women offender treatment center. In 1999, Mr. Hirsch moved to Northwest Montana. In addition to his responsibilities with Northwest Healthcare, he began to offer expert and administrative consulting services to psychiatric hospitals and the legal community.
