SERVICES Collision Scene Analysis A visit to the collision scene as early as is possible following the incident allows for the short-term evidence to be clearly identified, measured and recorded. Collision Investigation This follows a correct and detailed analysis of the evidence from the collision scene. This data forms the basis for many mathematical calculations which can often answer the most important questions arising from the collision. Scaled Drawings A scaled drawing should be prepared as soon after the collision as possible. This is the best method of recording scene evidence - i.e. marks of all types on the road surface, location of traffic signs, light posts and the final resting positions of the vehicles involved. Vehicle Inspection A post-collision inspection of the involved vehicles is important. In order to determine whether a suspected or alleged vehicle defect caused or was a contributory factor in the collision circumstances the vehicles should be technically examined as soon as possible. Photography The recording of evidence by way of photography is of paramount importance, be it of the collision scene, damage to vehicles or whether it relates to the mechanical condition of the vehicle or tires. File Evaluation A report on the collision circumstances can also originate from an analysis of the witness statements, Police accident report, plans, engineering reports on vehicular damage, repair invoices etc. Collision Reconstruction Once all information is gathered and analyzed, a complete reconstruction of the accident is then possible.
