As Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, I have evaluated the testimony of many experts who have testified without regard to the real Standard of Care in Plastic Surgery. Either through poor Plastic Surgery knowledge or poor preparation, the opposing attorneys have, in some cases, been unable to impeach the testimony resulting in adverse verdicts If I take your case, I will be able to testify truthfully, vigorously and objectively and provide the kind of articulate support that your client deserves. Being an attorney, also, allows me to avoid many of the traps that are set by opposing counsel. Although well versed in all aspects of Plastic Surgery, I have special expertise in Cosmetic Surgery, especially Breast, Liposuction and Abdominoplasty Surgery.

Non-Plastic Surgery Cases:

I have been called upon to review and help with cases outside the purview of Plastic Surgery. I can review any case, conduct the research necessary to make a preliminary opinion, and, if requested, find the appropriate experts needed in the medical fields necessary for that case. I can communicate with them, decide how their opinion fits our theory of the case, and recommend changes in strategy, as necessary.

Depending on the experience of the expert, I can help prepare him for deposition and trial testimony. Perhaps, most importantly, I can aid in the deposition and trial testimony of the opposing expert. Depending on the medical knowledge of the attorney, he may not, otherwise, be able to take full advantage of the kind of detailed questioning possible when an experienced physician and attorney helps formulate a line of questioning.
