Code of Ethics
We, the principals & employees of Custer Agency, Inc., are dedicated to the search for truth and the furtherance of our clients' interests consistent therewith. Our intention is to treat with respect and dignity all with whom we come into contact and to practice our profession according to this Code of Ethics.
- We will extend the effectiveness of our profession by cooperating with other investigators/security consultants and related professions, provided that this exchange does not violate our interests or those of our clients.
- We will not advertise our work, skill or merit in an unprofessional manner or in dramatic, misleading or exaggerated fashion, and we will avoid all conduct or practice likely to discredit or do injury to the dignity and honor of our profession.
- We will not knowingly violate any right or privilege of any individual, which may be guaranteed or provided for by the United States Constitution, the Idaho State Constitution, or the laws of the state and federal governments or any subdivision thereof.
- We will make all of our reporting based upon truth and fact and will only express honest opinions based thereon.
- We will not disclose or relate or betray in any fashion the confidence placed in us by client, employer or associate, without their consent.
- We will not suggest, condone, or participate in entrapment.
- We will refrain from accepting an assignment or employment if the undertaking will create a personal or professional conflict of interest.
- We will deal fairly and equitably with our clients or employer, and will clearly explain our duties and the basis for the charges in each undertaking.
- We will strive to ensure that the credentials of all clients are verified and that they have a sound, lawful and moral purpose to instruct the task.
- We will not employ techniques, or utilize equipment or devices, that may threaten the life, limb or safety of another.
- We will not accept commissions or allowances, directly or indirectly, from independent contractors or other parties dealing with our client, employer or associate in connection with work for which they are responsible.
- We will not allow personal feelings or prejudices to interfere with factual and truthful disclosures on the assignments in which we have been employed or consulted.
